Over the past 50 years, many passionate individuals have donated their time and resources in support of People to People. We would like to thank everyone who has worked toward fulfilling President Eisenhower’s vision.

In recognition of this effort, People to People recently became the first organization to receive the Knight for Peace (Cavaliere per la Pace). The International Center for Peace (Centro Internazionale per la Pace fra I Popoli Assisi) in Assisi, Italy, assigns the award to individuals who aid in the spread of peace and understanding to cultures all over the world. The list of past recipients includes Pope John Paul II, Mikhail Gorbachev, and Mother Theresa.

In today’s global climate, there has never been a stronger need for the educational exploration programs that People to People provides. Current world events call for us to continue, with unwavering dedication, our mission of peace through understanding. It is our purpose. It is our passion.

A world of difference awaits future generations during the next 50 years and beyond.
